david.ulevitch.com -- david ulevitch ^^^ david ulevitch everydns.net the world's largest free dns provider. i started it over six years ago and still run it. last time i checked we had about 100,000 users around the world. opendns a startup in san francisco that makes the internet a safer and faster neighborhood. i work with an amazing team of passionate technologists working on some really great stuff. california community colocation project a non-profit that i helped start with my collaborator david weekly. we provide free, unencumbered internet services to non-commercial entities (currently numbering around 140). update 2/2007: after years and years of great service we have shut it down. check out cernio instead. washington university in st. louis i went to college here. i was an anthropology major. college was good to me and i was good to my college. i have some skills in the operations, infrastructure and networking fields. i have helped respond to large-scale distributed denial of service attacks. i know some things about debian linux, bgp, openbsd, anycast, mysql, apache and all the little tools, knobs and buttons that go along with them. places where you will find me: zeitgeist molotovs, the slanted door, cafe du nord and lots of other places in san francisco. things you should know about me: - i prefer a phone call instead of an email.
